The newly coined term refers to connecting food producers with consumers in a local area, following the increased interest in the local food movement, aiming to reduce the carbon footprint of food and support local food producers and suppliers.

From opening the doors to Brossen Steakhouse in June 2015, it was clear to see it was an instant hit with our guests, as well as the locals. Walks In The Lake District For You and Your Dog
With our central location in the heart of Keswick, there are plenty of walks right on our doorstep and further afield that you and your four legged friend can take advantage of on a weekend away at the Inn on the Square. It’s not unusual for our guests to ask us to recommend good walks in the Lake District, so to help out we have produced our very own walking book, ‘Hike & Bike’, which contains 16 scenic walks and 10 cycle routes.

A walking break in the Lakes is a fabulous experience to share with family and loved ones, taking in Britain’s finest scenery, of lakes, woodlands, fells, beautiful valleys and gorges. A Year of the Inn on the Square
Over 40 local bed & breakfast owners, shop owners and suppliers gathered at the Inn on the Square, Keswick, on Tuesday 14th June, to celebrate the hotels first birthday and a successful first year of business.
