There’s a big different between winter and summer cooking, and at the Inn on the Square we aim to change our menus seasonally to offer our guests the best of the best. Nothing marks the change of the culinary season in Britain, quite like August’s Glorious Twelfth, which marks the first day of the shooting season. So for that reason we wanted to join in the celebrations by holding a themed game dinner on Wednesday 16th August, with all the excitement around the red-legged grouse.
The Back Bar in Keswick have retained their Cask Marque Award for their beer and cellar management, which has been awarded by the independent Cask Marque Trust, independent assessors, qualified brewers who check all cask ales on sale for temperature, appearance, aroma and taste.
Having grown up as a chef’s son, it seemed only natural that Dan Lansley would follow in his father’s footsteps. With over 8 years’ experience from some highly reputable hotels, such as Down Hall Country House Hotel, the Marriot Hotel group and The Swan in Lavenham, Dan made the decision to move to the Lake District to be closer to his childhood sweetheart and to further his passion for food at the award-winning AA rosette Brossen Steakhouse.
